Lumenergiʼs Advanced Intelligent Lighting Solutions Chosen for Retrofit of Two California Federal BuildingsNewark, CA – February 2, 2010 – Lumenergi, a leading provider of energy-efficient, networked lighting systems today announced it was selected to provide the core technology in an energy efficiency retrofit of two California federal buildings. The retrofit performed by a major fixture manufacturer, was done as part of efforts by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) toward meeting their goals to increase energy savings, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve occupant productivity in government-owned workplaces. The buildings are the Phillip Burton Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, at 450 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco (21-floors, 1.4Mft2), and the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, at 1301 Clay Street in Oakland, (18-floors, 1.1Mft2). The buildings will be outfitted with Lumenergiʼs advanced, energy-efficient lighting solution, utilizing the firmʼs new generation dimming ballasts and networked control systems. GSA launched a pilot program to identify proven clean energy solutions that could eventually be incorporated into federal buildings nationwide.
